Tragedy

As I continued researching about tragedy I decided that my form of portraying tragedy would be through Images. I also believe that videos or movies are a very strong way of portraying tragedy. For example a really good scene of a movie that portrays tragedy is the scene of Avatar the movie. The scene where their tree it being burnt down by the humans and that the avatars begin to panic and cry. Although videos are a great way to portray tragedy I chose images because you get to figure out what was happening when the picture was taken.

  1. I totally agree with you that movies are very powerful. After seeing Titanic for the first time, I saw that that movie was a seriously tragic romance. Titanic really embodied the definition of tragedy; when the girl and guy were floating in the water together and then... (if you've seen the movie you know the ending.) It was like, something bad coming out of something good.

  2. I like your viewpoint on how photographs are more open ended than movies. I like to think the same about literature, how you get to picture it for yourself just like how you get to imagine the sounds for a photograph. I am actually doing a video for my project though.
